Homeworkers' health and safety
More people are working from home than ever before and this presents employers with additional health and safety considerations.Office workers in particular are staying away from their normal base for at least part of the working week, using a phone and computer at home to allow greater flexibility and to avoid congestion problems.
Most health and safety at work regulations apply equally to homeworkers as they do to those operating from their employer's premises. Another issue that can be overlooked is risk assessments, as can many of the hazards which exist in the office at home.
