John Phillips



Training and Consultancy Manager - BSc (Hons), CMIOSH, John's involvement in health and safety began when he became a technical instructor whilst serving in the Royal Navy. Upon leaving the service, John became a Safety and Quality Manager within the railway infrastructure industry before moving into a training and consultancy role in 1996. He became Norwich Union Risk Services' Training and Consultancy Manager in 2005.

Consultant, BA (Ed), I.Eng, CFIOSH,  A career in education preceded Paul's move into health and safety, where he continues to specialise in safety training, particularly the NEBOSH Certificate and NEBOSH National Diploma.

Consultant, BA (Hons), MSc, C. Eng, MIMechE, MIQA, CFIOSH, A chartered engineer, Kevin's background in marine engineering and pressurised systems, allows him to specialise in consultancy and training focusing on technical aspects of plant safety. He is a tutor on our NEBOSH National Diploma course and our course tutor for the Part Two Diploma.

Consultant, BSc (Hons), CMIOSH, Andrew's background in health and safety is in the logistics and retail sector. A consultant since 1990, Andrew specialises in safety management systems.

Consultant, BSc(Hons), LLM, Dip2OSH, SpDpEM, CMIOSH James, an environmental sciences graduate, began his health and safety career as a trainee occupational hygienist in the petrochemical industry. James also occupied positions as a consultant occupational hygienist and safety officer in the waste management industry, before moving into a training and consultancy role. As a consultant with Norwich Union Risk Services, James delivers a wide range of training and consultancy services.

Consultant, BSc (Hons), PGDip EDM (Open), FCII, CMIOSH, David's background as a risk management consultant has focused on managing health and safety, product and environmental liabilities. He is course tutor of our NEBOSH and IOSH environmental courses.

Health and Safety Consultant CMIOSH, MIIRSM Brian has worked for Norwich Union since 1986 and has held various risk management roles since joining the company. Immediately prior to his appointment to the role of consultant, Brian was a Liability Risk Adviser, surveying customer premises to identify the key liability risks present; making recommendations to ensure these risks are minimised.
Brian is now responsible for delivering a wide range of training and consultancy services in Scotland and Northern Ireland including our NEBOSH General Certificate course.

Consultant, I.Eng, MIAgrE, CFIOSH, SpDipEM, MIMI, FIIRSM, FRSH Graham's wide safety experience includes time spent in agricultural engineering, tyre and exhaust fitting premises as well as being an examiner/trainer in Further Education. Graham is a tutor on our NEBOSH National Diploma and Certificate courses.
